The Lummus Green Circle Labs located in La Porte, Texas focuses on accelerating innovation in water and wastewater technologies. Our cutting-edge research and development facility is dedicated to advancing its Zimpro® suite of water and wastewater treatment technologies which include Zimpro wet air oxidation, Zimpro electro-oxidation and PACT processes. The expansion into water and wastewater technologies offer our customers sustainable and integrated solutions that achieve desired waste reduction and energy efficiency goals.
Onsite pilot plants for these technologies can treat actual water samples under controlled conditions to support the design of commercial units. This facility also has an analytical laboratory capable of a wide range of aqueous analytical tests, including measuring PFAS components in the ppt concentration range.
These technologies offer several environmental solutions over traditional treatment methods, including:
- Destruction of harmful contaminants such as PFAS, also known as forever chemicals
- Conversion and destruction of elevated waste streams, while minimizing the generation of secondary waste streams
- Reuse of municipal sludge to produce products or energy
- Elimination of less environmentally friendly treatment technologies like incineration with energy efficient non-combustion options
