CDTame®/CDTaee® Processes—Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) or Tertiary Amyl Ethyl Ether (TAEE) is formed by the catalytic etherification of isoamylene with either methanol or ethanol. These processes uses C5 streams from refinery units as feedstock to produce either TAME or TAEE product depending on the alcohol used. Isoamylene conversion as high as 98% can readily be achieved via this technology.
